The City of Crochet

Crocheting...an escape from everyday life in Europe as I face the perils of yarn shopping in a foreign country and dealing with all of the crazy looks I get for crocheting & knitting on the public transportation system.

Stop writing!!!!!!

Sheesh people! Give a girl some time to recover! I am still going through bloglines, but as fast as I can find time to read my numbers go back up! I was down around 600 but after being in Zurich the past 2 days its back up to 721!!! I can not win!

What I have found out is that I have missed a fair amount of drama. WTF! Play nicely folks!

Zurich is going good - I left my house yesterday at 5:45 in the morning to catch y flight and make it to the office by 9am.....I left work and went right to the hotel...at 11:15pm and was back in to work a little before 8 this morning! Insane! I am working a ton of hours! I decided to take 15 minutes to myself, post this, read a few blogs, and then its back to work!

I am meeting Kim later tonight once she gets in from Italy, so I will probably work late tonight as well! Not sure yet what the weekend will bring.....have to wait and see I guess! Some shopping, some food (most likely cheese fondue!) and lots of laughter! Oh! Lets not forget the wine! =)

I finished another flower while waiting for my plane this morning! I am getting there!

*waves* and *hugs* to everyone!

Rested, relaxed and raring to go!

Hello everyone!

I am back from vacation all nicely tanned and ready to go! Well, okay, I am dragging my butt on the ground and praying for caffeine to jolt me into action as I am guzzling Coke and Tea by the gallon! Jet lag has hit fairly hard this time....pay backs for the no jet lag when I came back to Europe after Christmas!

Vacay was great - had a wonderful time with my family and was able to see my friend Stormy and spend time with her and her boyfriend Josh over in Tampa and Clearwater. The little ones were all excited to see Aunt Kim and were even more excited to receive their presents LOL The chocolate Kinder eggs were a big hit once again! My nephew loved Thierry the Tortue and requested that I make him a matching cape so that he could become Super Turtle! So away I went and crocheted up a blue cape for him! I wish that I had remembered to get a picture of him and Super Thierry, but I forgot! I also made a cape for his Kinder toys lol

I did very little crocheting this break - just was not in the mood.....plus the majority of my second week down was spent at the pool dangling my legs in the hot tub! I have finished about half of my flowers for the flower swap and should get the rest finished either this week or by the beginning of next week! I did go and visit Jo Anns and Walmart while I was gone and picked up some odds and ends there - stitch markers, yarns, beads etc. I was happy just to pet the yarn as I knew that I would not have much room to bring it back with me!

Oh eeekkkk!!!! I just looked at bloglines...I have 882 blog posts to read! I will never manage to read & comment on all of them!

I am working in Zurich this week Thursday and Friday - will probably think about staying over the weekend and spending time with my friend Kim.....we can once again go out on the town there and see what kind of trouble that we can get into!

Have a wonderful week everyone - Happy Crocheting and Knitting!

Is it almost Monday already?

Where oh where did my weekend go? Its time for bed on Sunday night and I have gotten very little accomplished this weekend in terms of crocheting! Okay, I might have been busy elsewhere - my bedroom and bathroom are spotless, my kitchen has not a single dirty glass to be found, 8 loads of laudry washed, dried AND put away, yarn organized and put away, patterns organized and into binders, bookshelves redone, wardrobes organized.....PLUS a full days of work on the computer finishing the reports for my new job that need to go out tomorrow. Until I turned my computer on this morning to start working, I had not had it on. I am a bit behind in blog reading, but I promise to try and catch up - many thanks to everyone who has left comments on my felted bag!

I am off to Zurich again on Tuesday and Wednesday this week! I have several deadlines and items that need to be taken care of for the new job so that the "boys" can do all of the work while I am sitting by the pool in Florida drinking a margarita or two. My flight departs on Saturday morning...no, I have not even started to pack yet, but I have become very proficent at packing everything the night before.....if not the morning of! LOL

Zori arrives back from Argentina tomorrow! I can not believe that it has been almost 3 months since I last saw her! We have plans to go to dinner tomorrow, and then go out on Friday night.....I had best plan on having my suitcases packed before I go out on Friday......it has all the signs of being a late night out!

I am off to bed - I hope that everyone had a great weekend!
