The sounds of my job kicking my butt!
I spent a large portion of Sunday evening working, only to jump on a plane on Monday morning and have not stopped working / training since! I am in an all week training session and during any and all breaks, before and after plus in the hotel at night I am continuing to work like a mad woman! Gotta love it!
I did finish and get together my flower swap packages this weekend as well as I got together my secret pal package. I am hoping to have time to pick up a few small items in the airport for all three packages and then hopefully I can get the packages mailed out on Saturday if I can convince Russ to venture out to the post office with me!
Well, my lunch break is over - will talk to everyone next week some time probably! I hope that all is going well with you!!!! Apologies for being MIA so much lately! Its the nature of the beast I suppose, with the beast being my insane work life!
Crocheting...after globe trotting for years, I've settled down...join me in the craziness that my life has become! Living the day one stitch at a time!

Happy Halloween!
Or at least thats what my mail told me today!
I recently read in blogland (sorry can't remember whos blog) about someone receiving a Christmas card 4 months late.
Well, I gotcha beat on that one! I opened up my mail package from the US today and I saw a card envelope from my parents (i.e. I recognized the handwriting as my mums) So I tear into and look at the front of the card going Huh? Mom must be digging into her card stash and thought that a pumpkin card would be cute to send to me.....open it up and its apologizing for being a little bit late, but generally saying 'Happy Halloween' and asking about Trick or Treating. Huh? Is this a joke?
I grab the envelope out of the trash, and start laughing when I read the opstmark.....October 27 2005! It took over 6 months to make it from Michigan to Chicago and my PO Box where it was then sent to me! As the other mail in the package is all recent, it does not appear to be a mislaid mailing from my US company!
How funny! There is hope yet for poor Cordelia's missing Yule packages it seems!! =)
So, to all of my readers, Happy Halloween! Even if it is 6 months late....or 6 months early depending on your outlook in life!
*grin*

Finally some pictures!!!
When we girls drink too much......
I received this in an e-mail and wanted to share. I found it highly amusing, and sometimes a little bit too close to home!
WHEN WE GIRLS DRINK TOO MUCH............
1. WE HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA WHERE OUR PURSE IS.
2. WE BELIEVE THAT DANCING WITH OUR ARMS OVERHEAD AND WIGGLING OUR BUTT WHILE YELLING "WOO-HOO!" IS TRULY THE SEXIEST DANCE MOVE AROUND.
3. WE'VE SUDDENLY DECIDED THAT WE WANT TO KICK SOMEONE'S ASS AND HONESTLY BELIEVE WE COULD DO IT TOO.
4. IN OUR LAST TRIP TO PEE, WE REALIZE THAT WE NOW LOOK MORE LIKE A HOMELESS HOOKER THAN THE GODDESS WE WERE JUST FOUR HOURS AGO
5.WE START CRYING AND TELLING EVERYONE WE SEE THAT WE LOOOOOOOOVE THEM SOOOOO MUCH.
6. WE GET EXTREMELY EXCITED AND JUMP UP AND DOWN EVERY TIME A NEW SONG PLAY'S BECAUSE "OH MY GOD! I LOVE THIS SONG!"
7. WE'VE FOUND A DEEPER/SPIRITUAL SIDE TO THE GEEK SITTING NEXT TO US.
8. WE'VE SUDDENLY TAKEN UP SMOKING AND BECOME REALLY GOOD AT IT.
9. WE YELL AT THE BARTENDER, WHO WE BELIEVE CHEATED US BY GIVING US JUST COKE, BUT THAT'S JUST BECAUSE WE CAN NO LONGER TASTE THE RUM.
10. WE THINK WE ARE IN BED, BUT OUR PILLOW FEELS STRANGELY LIKE THE KITCHEN FLOOR (or the mop?)
11. WE FAIL TO NOTICE THAT THE TOILET LID'S DOWN WHEN WE SIT ON IT.
12. WE TAKE OUR SHOES OFF BECAUSE WE BELIEVE IT'S THEIR FAULT THAT WE'RE HAVING PROBLEMS WALKING STRAIGHT.

Effin Credit Card Companies!!!
I am going to go ape-s h i t!!
My credit card is cancelled!! WTF!!!!!!
I log into my account to set-up my bill payment for the month and it tells me that the card has been cancelled and a new one is on the way to be received in 10-14 days! WTF WTF WTF WTF
Breath in......Breath out.....Wax on......Wax off
Call the card company. Okay, talk to the guy. To paraphrase the conversation:
'Congratulations! As one of our top 5% of customers, you have been upgraded to a new level of cardholders. Your old card has been cancelled and a new one is on its way! This new card will have no spending limit, no over-limit fees, the ability to make two late payments a year and other added benefits'
"Yeah, great but I am not in America to receive this card, and nor will I be there for a few months"
'Oh......well, can you not have it mailed to you?'
"Well, Gee! Lets see here...I've been in 5 countries in 1 month. I'm in Brussels this week. Zurich next week and then who knows. Where should I have it mailed to?"
'Well, I am not authorised anyways to mail a card directly to you.'
"So you are saying that if I was travelling over here and lost my card and had it stoled i would be screwed until I returned to the US?"
'Well, ummmm......I don't know.'
"You don't know?"
'You would have to talk to a supervisor and there are none here right now. But trust me, this new card with the benefits will be great for you!'
"Can you not re-activate my old card & number since I never asked for the new card, have all my bill payments set up to it, can not receive the new card or number, and am basically screwed now without any way to purchase anything?"
'No, sorry! This new card has overwrote your old card number. Buts lets not forget that with your new card you'll have no spending limit, no over-limit fees, the ability to make two late payments a year and other added benefits which were not on your old card'
"Great thanks for your help. I'll be sure to spend and take advantage of that no limit when I am travelling in Switzerland next week...oh wait, thats right - I don't have a card! You have a wonderful day too sir"
Idiots!

Happy Sunday!!
Well its yet another Sunday afternoon! Ian left a little bit ago for the train station. We all had a great time out on Friday reminiscing over the past times when Ian was still living here and joining us out on the town....oh the fun that we had!! We did the normal visits around Friday night. Lauren and Chas (two newbies to the gang) decided that we HAD to go to a club....we get there, and its closed!!! So they decide to go into an invite only place - ummm...no way am I paying for a membership into some shit-hole that I will NEVER go back to. I made this fairly clear (I am kinda anti-clubs and avoid them like the plague - I have issues paying 10-20 euros to get into a club, listening to shit music and paying asinine prices for drinks (a coke alone would cost about 5-7 dollars at most of these places!!!!)) So we ditched them and headed down to the Cuban Bar for Mojitos and enjoyed the rest of the night!
This morning we (myself, Zori, Ian, Suzy and Vic) met up for brunch and to say farewell to Ian once again - although this time he promises to make it back a little bit sooner than a year! *grin*
I have finally finished about 20 inches on my shawl - I hit a groove last night while watching Kill Bill and cranked out about 6 repeats of the pattern. I will never be a fast knitter, but I manage to plod along and accomplish a fair amount!
Todays projects have been to update my sidebar - I've gotten rid of some non-needed buttons and links to old sites.
I also updated it with my new button that Elizabeth made for me:
Is it not fabulous?? I need to find some great picks and update my whole blog now to go with the new button theme...Paris...The City of Lights!
I am testing a shawl pattern for Melissa that I really need o get cranking on as well today. Along with finishing my Flower Swap and getting that and my Secret Pal package ready to go out in the mail this week.....I'll be able to go visit the post office finally - yippeee!!!!!!
Will try to post some pictures later today of some odds and ends as well as pics from Dublin and the UK which I have been a slacker on posting....whip me with a wet noodle will ya??
