A while back a wonderful woman in Argentina had an idea after giving away some scarves to a few random street inhabitants about making a movement to anonymously give away hats, scarves etc to the homeless populations on our streets.
A group of wonderful women in Hawaii read about Vik's project and wanted to conrtibute....but giving away scarves in Hawaii??? Not really needed. So they asked Vik about being able to donate to another region.
THIS is the result!

I'VE BEEN WANTING TO DO THIS VERY THING. I DONATED SOME SOCKS BUT THIS PLACE DIDN'T NEED MY OFFER OF HATS AND SCARFS. I'D LIKE TO HELP. IT WON'T BE MUCH HELP RIGHT NOW. BUT A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY. WHEN I GET A COUPLE OF THINGS MADE I'LL LET YOU KNOW AND YOU CAN TELL ME WHERE TO MAIL THEM.
THANKS FOR THE VOTE. TAKE CARE.
MAKE THAT SCARVES. WHAT CAN I SAY EXCEPT IT'S LATE. IT TOOK ME 4 OR 5 TRIES TO REMEMBER MY PASSWORD.
This is such a wonderful idea. I don't think anyone on earth is as giving and loving as crafters. Especially fiber arts crafters.
I've been trying to find local charities, etc. to give to and it's amazing how few will take anthing but money! It's a small area. Maybe branching out is what I need to do. I just never commit myself to something if I can't follow through.
Beautiful!
Dear Kim,
Thanks for joining the project from the very beginning! And thank you for posting about it in your blog. We need more and more scarves for homeless people. I´ve watched the news and it´s a hard winter in the USA.
