Introducing....Chloe!

Well, my long outstanding UFO / WIP that I've hinted about the past few weeks is finally finished. I persevered through several stupid mistakes that I made, a few pattern errors and finally have my first completed French project!

French project you ask?

Yes, the pattern came from a book I bought in French. I crocheted and assembled the pattern from the French version.....hence a few of my initial mistakes.

The details - Size 5 thread from DMC called Petra (this really should be sold in the US - the colors are wonderful & the thread is wonderful to work with). Start Date - around July 18th 2005!!!!

In all of her glory and magnificence, I introduce you to Chloe.....my Frog Ballerina Princess!

I am tempted to keep her for myself, but she will go to my niece as intended. From the same pattern book I am wanting to start a Monkey - I don't currently have all of the right colors, so I'll need to get them ordered.

While waiting, I will continue to work on the Baby Blanket for my other niece - I finished another section over the weekend, as well as a few other assorted WIPs that are around my apartment!

She is cute, but her niece is a stubborn little brat. Megan says she must have a dragon with wings and a frog won't do. I'm so sorry Aunt Kim for you, do not cry boo hoo.:)

Thanks everyone!!!

Deneen - It does indeed feel sooooo good to have her done!

Becky - yeah, yeah, shes your daughter! I'm sure she'll love it once she gets it...after she gets her dragon of course. I still need to make the wings for Andrews - I just wanted to get Chloe finished first

I love it too! The colors are what make it look so sweet and you picked the right project, Kimberly. Yay for figuring out the french instructions ;)

Wow Kimberly that is adorable! Your niece is a lucky little girl.

What a coincidence that I just named my puppy Chloe also.

Hihi, I'm green with envy. Especially love the tutu skirt.

By the way, have you encountered any English-speaking knitting or other crafts groups here in Brussels? There's at least one monthly and one weekly French group but I'm really surprised I haven't found any flocks of knitting expats yet. Can you please help?

How cute!! Your niece is a lucky girl indeed. And I totally know the feeling of wanting to get the WIPs done. Funny how I tend to end up with more than I started with...
