While on the tram to purchase some postcards to send out (RAOK coming perhaps??) I worked on putting together my first attempt at a dishcloth....liked how the yarn turned out - was really hesitant on buying it! I used Anchor Magic #1420 made by Coats (not sure if it is sold in the US)
Finally, I finished off the last of my edging on the joined Square/Wedge combination for my Star Afghan - I still need to tuck in the edges, but was too excited not to share!

The color scheme is mine, but the pattern comes from Herrschners Blue-Ribbon Afghan Book - the pattern, Blue Star, is actually featured on the cover done up in shades of blue! I switched to a trio of three colors - Cream, Lt. Sage and Country Rose, and crocheted to fit. I loved the blue colors, but part asked you to cut the dark shades of the multi-blue out which was a bit too complicated for me as a beginner!
Hey Kimmer, Your afghan is really looking great. You've come a long way since Florida. Keep up the good work. Love Mom XXXOOO

Thanks Mom & Dad - glad that you like my work on this so far - thanks to mom again for helping weave the ends in on the little squares while we were in florida! :-)
Wow, this is fantastic. You are very talented and obviously VERY patient to make all those little squares!!
oh hooray!!! hooray!! I have this book!
They don't sell the Anchor here in the US. Which is a shame really. I know that a lot of people would love to purchase it.
